Worcester Township Map & Aerial Photo Information: Links

Google Earth - A 3D Interface to the Planet (off site):
Google Earth combines satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips. Google Earth is a free download just follow the instructions.
  1. In your browser go to the foollowing address: "http://earth.google.com/"
  2. On this webpage select "Get Google Earth (free version)
  3. The on the next webpage select the Mac or Win version and click on "Download Google Earth" (application is about 40 MBs)
  4. When the software has fully downloaded (you may have to unstuff the file) then click the icon on the desktop and it will install automatically.
  5. When installed the application should look like this. Double click on it and the application will open.
  6. Click here to view the Google Earth application interface.
  7. In the upper lefthand corner of the application window tpye in "Worcester, PA" and you will fly to the view shown in the window.
  8. To Save the location select the Push-pin icon in th lower right-hand corner (3rd from left) and select "Placemark".
  9. A dialog box will appear and type in the name and the location will be Saved under the folder "My Places" at the lefthand side of the application window.
  10. Good Luck, Explore Worcester, Montgomery Co., and the Planet.
  11. As you get more familiar with the application try viewing models of selected cities in 3D as shown here.

View Maps & Aerial Photographs of Township (off site):
  1. Click on the link http://maps.google.com/ This will open the Google Map web-page in your Internet Browser.
  2. In the search dialog at the top of the browser page, type in, "worcester, pa 19490." This will bring up a map of the Worcester area.
  3. In the upper left-hand corner of the map are the navigation tools. Here you may zoom in or out and move in all four directions beyond the visible limits in the display.
  4. But more importantly, in the upper right-hand corner there are three buttons titled "Map," "Satellite" and "Hybrid". Click on "Hybrid" and you will view an aerial photograph of Worcester with all the street names and route numbers.
  5. Zoom in and navigate to find your house and property.
  6. Now explore and type in any address in the world and view in a similar manner.
